Update of glaucoma in myopia

Abstract：

Differentiating between high myopia and glaucoma is a clinical dilemma that many clinicians are faced with in our daily practice. Despite ongoing research and increasing understanding of the pathologies that occur in highly myopic eyes, with the use of traditional glaucoma testing protocols, the question of whether the patient is just myopia or glaucoma remains a difficult one to answer.  Comprehensive and multimodal assessment using available technologies may be helpful in establishing the myopic patient’s risk profile for glaucoma development, which would be helpful in devising a treat versus follow management plan that the patient and the phyicians are both comfortable with.
